When you dine in now, you order through a touch screen kiosk. Took me time to get through. They do not have servers anymore, you bus your own table. I consider myself tech savvy, and now that I am familiar with the process, it's ok. My elderly parents would never be able to dine here inside. Food was great!
I have only been in the drive through but the staff go above and beyond. So friendly, and quick!

The classic American diner chain with eclectic bright inside vibes and generally positive easy going staff, extra friendly and fast for my visit here. The shakes are essential menu options alongside the flagship Royal burger. There's plenty of flavors, well mixed shakes, jalapeno crunch burger is tasty too, everything goes down easy. I wish they had dairy free and low sugar options. I avoid most of the food due to some belly standards but there are few better places I'll happily spend my own money for fast food, Slim Chickens and Panda are the others. The app and online order setup is smart and quick, much better than trying to dine in for most visits.
I went to Steak and Shake, in Valparaiso, and I ordered chili mac. I've had chili mac years ago and it was pretty good. This is what I got. So I called, and they didn't answer for 27 minutes. I let it ring. When he did answer he said it's not really chili, it's a chili sauce and that's our macaroni. I said that's not macaroni it's spaghetti. He said unfortunately that's how we make it. He didn't even say have a good night. Whatever.
Best fast food joint around and alot cheaper then every other fast food place. Food and fries was fresh it was Hella good
